Marky Mark: A Holiday Wish for a Forever Home This holiday season, Marky Mark—also known as "Way Cool Jr."—is hoping for a family to call his own. Found running the beaches of Coronado, this tiny 4-pound Maltese with a larger-than-life personality has come a long way from his scared beginnings at the shelter. At just around 5 years old, Marky Mark has special needs due to an open fontanel on one side of his head. While he needs a safe and attentive home to protect him from injury, don’t tell him he’s different—Marky Mark doesn’t see himself as fragile! In his mind, he’s the boss, and he’s not shy about showing it. This spunky little guy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a recent dental. His silky white coat requires monthly grooming (especially around his face) to keep him clean and comfortable, and annual dental care will keep his radiant smile shining, preferably non-anesthetic. Marky Mark is full of energy and prefers to be on his own four feet, where he can strut his stuff like the star he is. He thrives in an adult-only home with calm, submissive dogs of similar size, if any. He’s crate trained, food motivated, pee pad and potty trained, and even takes well to a belly band. This mini adventurer travels securely in a carrier like a pro, making him the perfect holiday road trip buddy. Marky Mark is looking for someone who understands his quirks, respects his independence, and is ready to treat him like the unique treasure he is. With patience, care, and lots of love, he’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and joy.
