At 9 lbs when he should be 6, Rusty is on a special diet and exercise routine to help him regain his health. Despite being a senior, he loves his walks and enjoys exploring the world around him. However, his weight struggles weren’t the only hardship he endured—when he arrived, his harness was so tight we almost had to cut it off, leaving a deep imprint on his skin. Because of this, he’s a little touch-sensitive, but with patience and love, he’s learning that gentle hands mean kindness, not discomfort. Rusty isn’t looking to be a pocket pet—he’s an independent little guy who enjoys affection on his own terms.
